Food was great tasting. The imperial omelette was delicious! Service was prompt and friendly.

Excellent. Friendly service, food tasted fresh/delicious. Coffee was spot on. Reasonable prices. Free parking. Legit diner atmosphere. Clean bathroom. Enjoyed it very much and I reccomend to anyone.

Nice place to stop for that home cooked feel. Also to note that this is the iconic diner from the original 1958 "The Blob."

This place is scrupulously clean. The food was great, and the staff (in our case, Emily) excellent.

Stopped by for a quick lunch had a veggie burger my wife a patty melt burger, both delicious with crisp fries and soft buns... will go again!

Good food and cute diner. Only reason i didn't give it a 5 was because the air was broken and it was hotter inside than outside and it's 90 degrees out today! Waiters seemed frustrated being there and I'm sure it's because of how hot it was.

Friendly service. Nostalgic atmosphere. The food is good and the names of some of those foods are fun due to the relationship to the Steve McQueen classic film The Blob.

They have pretty good food, its clean, and has a nice atmosphere. The breakfast/lunch waitresses are great! The afternoon/evening waitresses are not so goid.

Great food. Nice down home feel. Prices are good. Service is always good. Parking is sometimes a struggle. We have had many things on the menu and have never been disappointed, no matter what hour of the day or night we visit.

Went to eat at the Downingtown diner earlier today around 11am. I had cream chip beef and scrapple. That’s all I had to eat today. Around 7pm I started throwing up and going to the bathroom. I believe I am suffering from food poisoning.

I'm all ups and nothing is bringing me down at this town diner. The staff is so friendly and they keep the coffee coming. An ideally sized menu - not so big that you know 80% of it is just pure shrubbery bulloks, but still plenty to choo choo choose from. Also it's the home of the blob, and this place brings its hollywoob chops for a totally reasonable rinminbihs. Oh I'm sorry, dollars. Guess I'm just too jet setting to remember what country I'm in because of my many important international travels and airports across the lands.

Really cheap food that is of good quality. Service was pretty fast given the time i was there ( 9 am) and the volume of customers in the place.

Staff is wonderful! Food was delicious and was brought out quickly and hot. I’ve been to many diners, and this may be the best one I have been to. When we finished our meals, we weren’t rushed to leave to make room for new guests, we were allowed to sit and hangout for a while longer. Definitely a great experience

Solid diner food served by a hard working staff. Pancakes are light and fluffy and the turkey club is fresh and tasty. Go to place in the borough.

This Diner is a Downingtown relic. Nostalgia and some history are served up with your meal. Milkshakes and burgers, fries and pie, breakfast and coffee, oh my! Claim to fame is the feature in the movie "The Blob" from the 1950's, a film that featured the diner as well as many locals in the running mob scene as the Blob overtakes the diner. Diner is as diners do! It's a matter of preference.

Food is all amazing! Service is excellent! Booths are very uncomfortable. There is a leg right in the middle of the table. Difficult to get comfortable. We can never get 4 adults in a booth.

Although the movie The blob was before my time good food and excellent service is always timeless. This is an excellent choice for breakfast and I am looking forward to getting back there again in the future.

Place looks great. Very clean. Service and food were both very good.

Sausage gravy over biscuits was terrible. The gravy was too salty and the biscuits were dry and cold. I asked for egg white omelet, but was given regular eggs. I will say the fruit cup was fresh and juicy.

Had a late dinner. Chopped steak and vanilla shake. Very tasty. Reasonable prices. Good service. Little noisy.

My food eating experience was just fine. For the record this is the diner where the old sci-fi movie The Blob was made partially there. I did not see any memorabilia of it what it is the place. They do have mention of it on the menu. I had a chop steak done medium rare long with vegetables and Root Beer soda it was fine we had it also had a large salad that came with that meal it was a surprise to be so big. Our service was wonderful. We had rice pudding for dessert served with cinnamon. Dinner4two was under $30. This diner by the way is a 24-hour diner so any time of the day is fine breakfast is also served 24 hours a day too. Mangia Mangia

I've been cautious about going out lately because of coronavirus, but I am delighted by what I saw at the Downingtown Diner. I had previously been to another diner in the area where masks were routinely not worn correctly, and was a bit worried that that'd be the case here, but everyone was wearing them correctly and wiping everything down.AND! The food was delicious. 5/5 definitely going to go again and suggest to everyone I know.

Standard diner. Ok food at ok prices. Nice staff.

My eggs, sausage, toast, and potatoes were all cooked perfectly. I tried something on the menu call "pork roll". I had no idea what to expect. When it arrived, it looked like fried baloney. It tasted ok though. Price was reasonable. I'd probably eat breakfast there again.

Open 24 hours. Breakfast all day. Great service. A real hometown diner.

Excellent food, especially the cream of potato soup. Large portions and free refills on certain beverages. The diner is on the small side and it can get very busy so expect a brief wait at peak dining times. There is more parking in the rear.

Was at Blob Fest and swung down to eat at the original diner from the film. I got a blob burger with a banana split for dessert both were very good and waitress was very friendly.

I actually was here by accident but the diner was alright. One lady was a little rude other lady was very pleasant. I guess rude lady wasn't having the best day. I got two veggie omlettes and potatoes both of which were pretty bland and needed seasoning. When seasoning was added everything tasted good.

Stopped in around 10 pm for a late dinner. The Blob Special is always my meal of choice. You can't go wrong with 2 eggs, 3 bacon slices, potatoes and two thick slices of French toast. All for 9 bucks.

Very enjoyable. The eggs could have been a little better, they were sort of rubbery. The biscuits and gravy was very good. Very small diner, but that's a plus.

Surprisingly nice given exterior appearance. Both entrees we had were very good and service was quick and helpful.

The food was very good, and so was the service, and the dinner was very clean. The only problem was the handy cap ramp steepness, and relationship to the parking handy cap parking space. It would be difficult for a person with a walker to go from their car/ parking space to the ramp.

Eggs were so runny couldn’t eat them, everything else was so dried out! The waitress was really nice but it was really disappointing the sausage was like bricks, home fries were so bland and no flavor or taste to them. We were told the “best cook” was there by another staff member....I’d hate to see the worst! Almost $100 worth of food and most of it was left, the only thing anyone actually ate was the waffles. Wouldn’t recommend!
